Molly Mingey, a native Wisconsinite and a recent transplant in New York is currently a company member with BOINKdance and Kayt Macmaster Dance Group. Along with these companies she also spent several years dancing in and serving as rehearsal director for Fenn and Company based in Milwaukee and Brooklyn, under the direction of Mary-Elizabeth Fenn. As a guest artist with Periscope Performance Lab.(Brooklyn) Molly was able to perform in their gallery work in Richmond VA. Mingey's work has been presented in New York by the NYC10 Dance Initative, The Indie Ballet Collaborative under the direction of Ariel Asch, and The Hoover Dam Collective.

 

After receiving her BFA from UW-Milwaukee's Peck School of the Arts Molly went onto dance for the Milwaukee based site specific dance company Wild Space under the direction of Debra Loewen.While in Wild Space she was an educational representitive and performed at schools in southeastern WI with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. She was a repeat guest artist with Danceworks on Tap, Radermacher Dance Company (Minneapolis), and was a puppeteer with The Hudson Vagabond Puppet Theatre during their midwest tour of Butterfly: A Life Cycle. Along with performing in the midwest , this is where her choreographic journey began. Her senior thesis was selected to represent the University at American College Dance Festival. In Milwaukee her work was presented by MKEfollies and Danceworks DanceLAB. She has also shown her work in Chicago, St. Olaf MN, and Brussels BE. 


Two of her favorite projects involved working with Milwaukee Musicians; for The Fatty Acids she choreographed the music video Unscreened and with D'Amato she served as one of his back-up tap dancers. 
Molly's teaching credits include Accent on Dance Inc., Bella Via, and Dancework's Mad Hot Ballroom and Tap.
